What counts as a note?: A note you are actively servicing. If you hold three seller-financed notes on three properties and all three are active, that’s three billable notes. A note that is paid off or sold stops counting from your next invoice. Notes you keep on the Free plan cost nothing at all — storage and manual recording are free for every note, without limit.
How do I upgrade from Free to Premium?: Upgrade any time from Settings, or from the button on this page once you are signed in. Checkout shows your exact total before you confirm. Your existing data carries over — no migration needed.
How does billing work?: Premium is $25 per month for the platform, plus $15 per month for each note you are actively servicing. One note is $40 a month, two notes are $55, and so on. Your invoice shows the two amounts as separate lines so you can check them. Notes that are paid off or sold are not counted. You can cancel anytime and keep access through the end of your billing period.
What happens if I add or pay off a note mid-month?: The change appears on your next invoice. We do not charge you partway through a month for a note you just added, and we do not issue mid-month credits for a note that just paid off. Adding a note is never a surprise charge.
What is the transaction fee?: When borrowers make payments through the platform via Stripe, a 0.8% fee (capped at $5 per transaction) applies. This fee is paid by the borrower by default, but you can choose to absorb it in your account settings.
What happens if I cancel?: You keep Premium features through the end of your billing period. After that, your account moves to the Free tier — all your notes stay visible and editable for manual payment recording. We never hide loans behind the paywall. Stripe payment processing pauses, autopay enrollments pause (not cancelled — re-upgrade resumes them), and Premium features pause until you re-upgrade.
What happens to my data if I leave or stop paying?: Your loan information stays in ServeYourNote until you delete it. We do not auto-delete inactive accounts. We guarantee storage. Once you stop actively maintaining a loan, we cannot guarantee that the projections, balances, or status flags continue to reflect reality.
