Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Cancellation

You may cancel your paid subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. There are no cancellation fees.

After cancellation takes effect, your account reverts to the Free Tier. You retain access to all paid features until the end of the billing period you have already paid for.

2. Refunds

Subscription fees are non-refundable. When you cancel, you are not charged for future billing periods, but no refund is issued for the current period. You retain access to paid features through the end of your current billing period.

3. Downgrade Behavior

When your account reverts to the Free Tier after cancellation:

  • Your data is preserved. Loan records, payment history, documents, and all other data remain in your account.
  • Servicing features are disabled. Automated payment processing, escrow management tools, advanced document generation, late fee calculation, default management, and portfolio analytics become unavailable.
  • Note limit applies. If you have more than 3 active notes, you will need to either reduce to 3 notes or resubscribe to regain full access.
  • Core features remain. Loan tracking, amortization schedules, manual payment recording, basic statements, and borrower portal access continue on the Free Tier.

4. How to Cancel

You can cancel your subscription in two ways:

  • Account settings: Navigate to Settings in your dashboard and select “Cancel Subscription.”
  • Email: Send a cancellation request to support@serveyournote.com. We will process your request within 1 business day.

5. Transaction Fee Refunds

Payment processing fees (0.8% per transaction, capped at $5) are non-refundable. These fees are processed by Stripe, Inc. and are governed by Stripe's terms of service.
